Testimony from the participants of this photoshoot event:

“As a participant in today’s vegan photoshoot,  I had the opportunity to meet some amazing girls. So wonderful to be surrounded by fellow vegans! The vibe was very warm & positive.  I really enjoyed trying new cosmetic lines & am always happy to support vegan companies.  The photographer Annika made the shoot so much fun! She is very hospitable & made me feel confident & beautiful! What a wonderful way to spend my Sunday afternoon.”

“The vegan photoshoot was so much fun! I loved all of the cruelty free products! My hair being washed with the Hello shampoo by Harvey Prince was one of my favorite parts- it felt like I had a spa treatment!  I don’t wear make up in my day to day life but it was a lot of fun having my make up done.  I felt amazing playing dress up with products that caused no harm to anyone or anything!  Annika is very sweet & makes you feel beautiful while she photographs you. I would recommend this fellow compassionate friend to anyone. Yay vegan!”

“The photoshoot was a blast! Supporting vegan cosmetics is important & having a chance to do so was heart warming. There was a fun environment, tasty food & beautiful girls who are all for the shoot. The products are wonderful & will definitely be recommended to friends & family. I’m stoked to see the photos! Thanks for having me.”

“What a great project! I would love to participate any time- great atmosphere.  I love the Marie Natie line & La Fresh.  I didn’t expect to enjoy their handy wipe but it felt so gentle and (giggle) fresh.  Crazy Rumors balm I can see using daily.”

“Fact: Over 80% of the world- including the US- still allows animal testing for cosmetics.

Traditionally, animals have been used in painful tests to demonstrate that cosmetics are effective and safe to use. However, safety can be assured by using approved tests that do not use animals. Modern non-animal tests are often quicker, cheaper and more reliable than animal tests.

Yet sadly, countless animals are still subjected to cruel tests around the world to bring a new eye shadow or cologne to the market (…).

In a global market it is important that all countries ban the practice to avoid animal testing from simply being moved around the world to those countries with no effective laws prohibiting the practice.”

The Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics guide which lists companies that comply by the Leaping Bunny cruelty free standard. The Leaping Bunny logo is internationally recognized & can be found on cosmetics, personal care & household products. The standard requires that companies do not test ingredients, formulations or finished products on animals. Look for the Leaping Bunny!!!
