First Autumn

I didn’t experience Autumn until the age of 23. I had recently moved to Seattle, a place that satisfied my preference for a rainier & darker climate (though the Summer I moved there had no shortage of sunny warm days).

Autumn came & with it the first signs of that chilly tickle in the air & quiver of leaves on increasingly blustery days. I was in love. Full on, heady, swooning love that showed no signs of letting up. There was nothing about the season I didn’t love. Everything felt romantic- cinematic even- set against the intoxicating palette of this darkening & colorful season.
