Scenes from our first November 1st in Poland last year (2021) from the tram ride through the city and then many from the cemetery.
While reading about the day, I read that Kraków is perhaps the most “necropolitan” city in Poland to experience November 1st in.
The mood at Rakowicki Cemetery was very busy but also very serene and peaceful. The light of the day was incredible, sun streaming in shafts throughout the cemetery. There was also a gorgeous very light fragrant scent wafting in the air everywhere (my husband speculated incense from the ceremonies in the building at the center of the cemetery).
It was a very important experience of spirit and culture as well as a special family moment.
