On our recent visit to Berlin, I knew we had to visit at least one ‘Eltern Kind Cafe‘. I love these concepts- cafes with areas for children to play while parents relax with their coffee & coffee. Our recent visit to Germany’s capital was brief so I really wanted to choose right for our first family visit to one of these, also known as Kindercafes. I definitely feel we chose right in selecting Kiezkind. Situated cozily in Helmholzplatz in Prenzlauer Berg, the building, now housing a cafe, sandbox and areas for hosting parties, has industrial bones & a lot of atmosphere. It was originally an electrical power station for surrounding streets. It was superb to order a couple of hot caffeinated beverages, sit, relax & watch our son play.
